tuesday is video time!

Stolen outright from Jim at Skippy The Bush Kangaroo.

Oh, and, yeah, I suppose any day can be video time, but I have to call the post something, dont I?

quote for the day

Rude Pundit:
just wants to get this straight: Texas Gov. Rick Perry wants to run for president of the nation he talked about seceding from. Isn't that like declaring you're straight before you fuck a bunch of guys?

Dave's Comix List, mk.II

So, as you may or may not know, I use this list to bookmark all the comics I read. But the list was getting a bit ungainly, and taking up a lot of my time going places where nothing was happening, so I've rearranged things a bit to make better use of my time online.

new header

Woot.

a thought

You know, I'd really love to go back to school and get some more edjumacating, but there really is now way in which I can really afford it anymore. Neither can most of us, really, however "easy" it is to get a loan.
Apparently, it's only going to get worse.
But here's what I'm thinking: If we, the consumer (as we are now) are going to be pouring such a significant load of our money into the University system, then maybe we need to insist that our money is spent more wisely. Like, far less money spent on administration and far more professor time spent on students.

quote for the day

"You've lived in Pennsylvania too long. In New York, civilized people are only now beginning to think about dinner. Only fundamentalist Christians have eaten their evening meal."
"They too have a lot to offer God."
"Nonsense. They believe God has a lot to offer them."
