Republicans express a desire to "starve the beast", which they stand on the verge of actually accomplishing. They might do well to remember that a starving beast is a cranky beast. They might do even better to remember that "the beast" in America is Of The People, and when the Beast is hungry enough, it will turn it's attention to those who are denying it sustenance.

an observation

As far as I can tell, the primary function of management in America is to accept a client's order with little regard as to it's actual do-ability, threaten the jobs of those who are actually required to figure out how to do the work, then take credit for the efforts of those workers when they succeed.
