a thought

Republicans express a desire to "starve the beast", which they stand on the verge of actually accomplishing. They might do well to remember that a starving beast is a cranky beast. They might do even better to remember that "the beast" in America is Of The People, and when the Beast is hungry enough, it will turn it's attention to those who are denying it sustenance.

Like I've said before: the next big battle will be between the dumb and the greedy.

Here we go: the GOP in Wisconsin strips out all the fiscals from the bill (leaving only the collective bargaining) and voted on it, effectively lying about what they were trying to do.

Anyone who was paying attention knew that the collective bargaining part of the bill was the one they really cared about.

I'm starting to think that the way to deal with all this is to simply sit back, let the Republicans take over completely, and let them further wreck the nation. Apparently we didnt let it go on long enough during the Bush years.

Not that this isnt going to happen anyway, since Democrats seem to be Republicans who arrive at their positions by backing up into them. Buckle up folks, it's gonna be a bumpy ride.
