a thought
Maybe this has always been true, but something occurred to me today: With the decline of Union power in America, and the returning of Management to aristocratic status, there is really only one way which you can attempt to make changes in your workplace. Quit. Unfortunately, since quitting is, for them, a minor inconvenience and expense at best, it's going to have very little effect. Except on you, of course.

I prefer guerrilla warfare myself. It's satisfying and remarkably successful.
I suspect it wont be too many years before we start having those big, violent strikes breaking out, complete with whatever we have to replace the Pinkerton thugs of old (Blackwater, or whatever they call themselves these days).
When the only road you have is violence, your only other choice is to sit still. Unions, and the workplace rules their influence provided, gave us other routes. When those are gone, we'll be back to the old ways, I guess.
