question

Okay, so, I kind of thought that the central tenant of a conservative was more or less, "if it aint broke, dont fix it". Conservatives dont like change, right, they prefer to maintain the status quo, especially if it is their status quo.
So why is the Republican Party running a campaign where they are claiming to be the party of "change"? And why arent conservatives scratching their heads in puzzlement over that theme? After all, change from what? The last eight years of Republican governance?

The other day someone described St. Ronald Reagan as having "turned America around", and I thought, "turned it around from what?".

He turned it around from peace and prosperity!

R's will use any lie or deception to get in office. They will never scratch their heads over what the party is doing! 70% of the delegates think W is doing a great job!

I thought I would be able to watch this years election safe in the knowledge that the American people would not make the same mistake a 3rd time.

But it seems I could be wrong...

DOH!
