quote for the day

Guns don't kill people, people kill people. It goes to follow that we don't need gun regulation, we need people regulation -- we need people to be smarter. But people have proven to be violently opposed to this idea.

I still think pro-gun loons are mis-reading the constitution, armed militia is not the same as everyone carrying a fucking gun.

I dont really have a problem with guns, just with idiots who use the constitution to justify every time they want to buy some armor-peircing bullets or assault rifles. Personally, I like that everyone has guns, I think it keeps the government vaguely honest.

One of our favorite married couple double-date activities is going to the range in the morning, then brunch and bloody marys after. I have to agree on the fanatics that think they need a six month supply of armor piercers and phosphor 12 gauge rounds, I mean REALLY now. (not that it isn't fun to throw a couple of those phosphors through the ole' boom-stick) And just because I think it needs to be said, the other couple we shoot with are FLAMING liberals. It's not just the Right Wingers that are armed over here, Daniel. Responsible ownership and proper training are essential.

Guns followed by bloody marys conjures up some interesting images.
