Republicans like to say that a lack of profit motive was the reason for the fall of the USSR. When almost everyone is seeing a loss in pay and benefits (except for the Big Boys making the profits), how exactly does that fit in with their theory. Or did the "profit" thing only apply to the top 1% of Russia?
