beam me outta here

Oh, if only this were true...If you dont read the Omnipotent Poobah, well, then you ought to, because he's, like, a deity and all. Like this piece here, posted less than two weeks ago. Go Scott, Go!

So what do you think? They asked him (politely) to go because he's showing signs of getting ready to snap? Did he finally realize that, even though he signed a contract with the Big Red Guy, if he acts now, he can still save his soul? Or is it just his turn for the revolving door?

"Great job Scotty! Dunno how you do it without cracking a smile! Now get on out there to K-street and start making your millions while greasing the palms of the Legislature. You earned it!

Normally, I'd say something along the lines of having to learn all over again how to tell if the press secretary is lying to us, but since this is the BushCorp, that wont be necessary. Here's how to tell if the Bush Administration's Press Secretary is lying to you: Is he in the room? Did you hear him speak, or interact with him in any way?
Then, he's lying.

I feel bad for McClellan. I think he's probably just been doing what he's told and now he has to take all the heat for giving information, or not, as the case may be.

I wont feel bad for him unless he writes a book, otherwise he's just another co-conspirator. In 1999, I wouldve voted for Collin Powell, even though he was a Republican, but he sullied himself in the BushCorp. I feel sorry for Powell, but I dont see anything close to Powell's level of integrity in McClellen, so why should I feel sorry for him?

Interestingly enough, McClellan is the son of Texas comptroller Carole Keeton Strayhorn, who earns a bit of my respect for standing up to her own party in finacial matters, and who is currently running against Dubya's Texas heir, Rick "Rentboy" Perry (the special friend of big business) as an independent.

You know, there may be hope for him yet. His Mom's running in Texas as a Democrat. Maybe she can pull him away from the drak side.

Thanks for the link BTW.

Actually, she was a Democrat, then switched to the Republicans, but balked them (she kept telling them things they didnt want to hear, like, "there's no money for that".) resulting in the party (in their aspect as state legislators) taking away some of her comptroller power. Now she's running for governor as an independent, as is Kinky Friedman. Hard to say where this race will go.
