Has it ever occurred to anybody to simply shut-up, and let this guy do his little bluster show. That maybe the best solution to Iran and Ahmadinejad is to simply roll our collective eyes at him, and then ignore him.
Surely you know someone like this. But if we keep pushing him, then he has to push back, just like any other blustery little bully-boy on the playground. Which, of course, is why Dubya doesnt get it, because our president and Iran's president are two sides of the same coin.

I'd sure like to think that's the solution! I just wouldn't want to turn my back and end up with a knife stuck in it...
That being said, I think the President and his entourage have their own unhealthy agenda for the country, so every movement of theirs is suspect now.
That would be nice, but George was one of those kids who couldn't stop eating his own boogers and the Iranonut probably was a kid who constantly picked his scabs until the bled or he got the Iranian equivalent of a swirly.
Can't expect much from either of them I'm afraid.
The thing is, at least in Iran, the President still doesnt have that much power, that still rests in the hands of the clerics. I kind of wonder if BushCo thinks that whatever war powers were given to him after 9/11 will extend to Iran also (or rather, how he'll use whatever powers were given to him to justify what he wants to do).
Plus, look at Ahmadinejad. He's not a prettyboy, but if you google his image you'll find a lot of pictures that make him look good, and not many goofy-ass ones. That's got to work in his favor at home, but may well be all he has - image.
What worries me about Bush is that he really buys into the stereotypical "cowboy" image. He thinks he is the only one in the world that has the "balls" to "take care of business," so he blocks out everyone else and plunges on a head. He causes extremist reaction in the wake of all of his actions. He is the most dangerous kind of leader, someone who thinks only he has all the answers. Someone should have explained to him long ago that leaders really are not “god on earth” like in the old Egyptian days.
He's a bully, and a righteous one to boot. And like all bullies, he operates on the fear of someone showing him up as weak, and so pummels those weaker than him first (Pre-emptively) to make others think he's tough.
