bet our money on the bob-tailed nag, or
the wrong October surprise

or was it bomb babies...?So, North Korea, possibly one of the few places in the world more universally despised by the world than the United States, has joined the worlds nuclear powers. It's a good thing that Big Daddy Dubya was focusing all his anti-axis-of-evil energies on Iran, wasnt it? Of the three "axis" members, Bush and Company seem to have chosen the two that dont have atomic weaponry to worry about. Oh sure, there were claims that Iraq had WMDs, and claims (probably true) that Iran was trying to build themselves a nuke, also. But come on, wasnt Korea the obvious choice? Well, at least the quagmire in Iraq kept us from invading Iran also. That's good news, right?

Well we all know we can't faight on 3 fronts and with the rest of the world afraid to do anything that puts us U.S. is a bad spot. I am tickled that W took the approach that alot of the current congrassmen and senators bitched and cried about with NK. Alot of them said we should have used diplomacy with Iraq, he is doing that wil Iran and NK. Maybe the rest of the world will wake up.
Maybe someone will offer some answers. Maybe some Dem will tell me what they would do if they were eleced instead of being a monday morning quaterback and continuously saying bush fucked it up (there is no argument there from me) but goddang folks tell me how you would fix it.

Korea wasn't nearly as sexy.

JS is right, but wrong at the same time. Because the answer's simple: bomb the snot out of Iran and Iraq, then withdraw and say "if you do it again, we'll do it again, too. Re-build if you can, leave us alone, or we'll bomb you back to the stone age." Then turn your attentions to North Korea.

I have no problem bombing other countries if they prove to be a threat to us. My problem with the war in Iraq is that it's turning into another "land war in Asia" sort of scenario. Why waste our lives trying to be nationbuilders when the majority of Iraqis believe that it's OK to kill Americans (from a recent poll by a major news organization).

Okay Saur, let's play Imagine:

Imagine that your kid is in high school now. He's bulked up pretty good, and is now a tackle on the football team. One day you get a phone call; your son has beaten the snot out of some kid. His story, this kid was taunting him, telling him that he was going to kick your kid's ass (even though SaurKid's got 50 lbs on him and a brown belt, say).
Question: Do you condone SaurKid's behavior? Is it okay for the strong to beat up on the weak just because the weak threaten them? Or does that make them bullies?
