If you been jonesing for some Davewriting, well, I've been away from home, spilling my mental seed on someone else's blog...

Is that gross? Sorry.

Cant seem to summon the energy to put it on my own blog, though. Probably enough material in those comments for two or three posts, not to mention all the stuff I dont put in there because it's "just a comment".

I couldn't even read the whole thing it made me so disgusted. Not you, Dave, but the minions out there who wave their "liberal" flag and then say shit like "I have a friend who's gay", as if that suddenly makes them open minded. And the argument that one CHOOSES to be gay... my Lord, if I could take out the video tape in my memory and show you lovely, LOVELY men in their 20's, CRYING because they wished they were "normal", ostracized by their parents, some even committing suicide over their shame.

End of the story is that gay people pay their taxes just like straight ones. They celebrate holidays and see movies and take shits just like straight ones. And if they are lucky, they fall in love.
To be honest with you, most gay people I know who are in relationships have been in the same monogamous relationships longer than the majority of straight people I know.

If you don't like it, just mind your own f***ig business. (Again, not you, my friend.) Rrrr. Conservatives masquerading as liberals really piss me off. Go to church.

Yeah, it was the choice thing that really set me off. I've known too many gays, myself to think that to be true. Plus, it seems odd to think that they'd be all over the world, including places where it's a death sentence, if it were a choice.

Sorry for pontificating on your blog, Dave. Very few subjects get me as riled up as discrimination, in any form.
Who was it that said "Judge not lest ye be judged"? Wasn't that Jesus? Why would anyone rally to ban the equal rights of strangers, just because someone might not agree with their "lifestyle"?
What about the couple down the block where the boyfriend beats the hell out of his girlfriend every time he gets drunk? What about the girlfriend who cheats on her boyfriend every chance she gets? Shouldn't THEY be banned from marriage?
I can understand disliking someone because they are a child molester or a murderer or even because they cut you off in traffic, but to dislike someone because of who they fall in love with? Huh? Aren't people lucky as hell when they meet someone they want to spend the rest of their lives with? Isn't that what the celebration of marriage is based on??

This mindset which seems to exist in smaller American towns scares the shit out of me... these are the same people who put Bush into power... the same people who beat on their Bibles, not educated enough to realize that the King James version was ALTERED and that all mentions of homosexuality and reincarnation (for example) were removed by men a thousand years later to suit their own ideals.
It smacks of fear of anything different... of the fear instilled on Americans shortly after 9-11 with the orange alerts.
"You're next, Regular Citizen."
"They're coming to get you, Barbara..."
The people who think that minorities are to be put into separate cattle cars are the same people that tempt fate. Your lily white daughter is going to marry a black man. Your son is going to turn out to be gay.
These are the same people who I want to bash over the heads with Depeche Mode albums... people are people... stop trying to run other people's lives and worry about your own.

Soapbox removed. XOXO

sweet jaysus in a speedo.wotta load of hooey that was.

If the gay couple next door gets married, how will the homophobes even know for christs sake? Its not like there is a huge neon light over their humble abode that announces it to the heavens.

Fucking morons..god I hate ignorance.
