Wait, who's the chairman of the GOP again?
At first, I was kind of wondering if Rush was gearing up to try a run for the presidency. But then I thought, why would he do that? He's already got plenty of power, a shit-ton of money, and, best of all, when ideas he supports go awry, he is held virtually without responsibility in the matter. Why give that up just to be called "Mr. President"?
Where the original image came from, sort of.

No I get why Ren mentioned Rush over at mine, good grief, Limbaugh is a nasty bitch.
But no worse than palin.
Limbough's been a nasty piece of work for years. He is the archetype of right-wing talkshow radio hosts, or at least their most prominent and longest lasting purveyor of douchbaggery.
Thank whatever you thank that Rush doesnt pollute the airwaves in your corner of the globe.
re: Rush's tactics
If you think that's something, check this out. He's exactly where he wants to be.
I despise David Frum, but he's right about that. What he misses is that the Republican Party isnt about conservatism, but about Authoritarianism, greed, and anarchy. Until they start caring about the People, they're going to drift further out to sea.
My theory is that the Republicans are reversing Bushonianism. Instead of supporting one dictator, they want to run the country with dozens of dicks.
*shudder*
I remind myself that his audience is the nothing more than the bottom feeders of the Repube party.
With a nation of 300 million, he speaks to less than 14 million a week, by arbitron's skewed measuring system..bfd.
I did filch that graphic for future use. ;)
The influence that Rush has on America is totally out of whack with the size of his audience. The "silent majority" of the 70's has become a very noisy minority. Time to stop trying to grease the squeeky wheel - let the bearings on that sucker burn themselves up (and hope that it doesnt yank the whole vehicle off the road when it locks up and self-destructs).
feel free to use it. I love the idea of it having a life of its own.
