a thought

As the U.S. is to Israel, so China is to North Korea. It's not Pyong-Yang we should be "talking" to, but Beijing.

Agreed, are you volunteering?

"Volunteering"? For what?
Just as Israel could be stopped simply by withdrawing U.S. support (and are we seeing signs of that now?), so too could North Korea be stopped by the Chinese withdrawing support. Nobody's particularly afraid of North Korea (though their army is nothing to sneeze at), it's their chief supporter that we worry about offending.
As for me, I'm not talking to anyone. I'm hardly the diplomatic type.

For talking duty, you could do a good job as a diplomat perhaps?

Nah, I'm too apt to call bullshit as bullshit. I'd make a lousy diplomat.

Plus, I've got a real problem with authority.

Punk Rock Dave should be your new nickname.

I always wanted to convince a band to do a punk version of a song Sinatra sings called "I wish I Were In Love Again". I'd do it myself (if I had any musical talent) 'cause it'd fuckin' rock.
