I have never heard a white person refer to themselves as "bronze", except when using the phrase "bronzed god" (which, I must admit, I've used myself). This issue has bugged me since I was a kid. It takes very little color to "taint" someone's blood (I did a significant part of my growing up in Oklahoma, by the way), yet in the summer, brown was somehow good for the skin. But only the skin.

B/c Bronze = "OK" whereas Brown = "OMG! They're gonna take my job and try to date my lil pumpkin!"

Indeed, people love to tan but to go too dark is the equivalent of going full retard...
