aftermath

Okay, so we spend, spend, spend on various and sundry bailouts. And war, endless war. When exactly is someone going to have the balls to say that there is only one way to pay for all this?

Taxes.
Or a massive loss in services.

The party's winding down, folks, who's gonna clean up afterwards?

Addendum (next day): Oh yeah, I guess we could cut the military budget, and stop corportate welfare, but if you think getting Universal Healthcare would be hard...

The question you pose actually has been buggin me since all this Wall Street/DOW shit started.

Its like a female that has a shopping disorder. The only thing that stops her is when she can't pay her rent and other important everyday things. She finally seeks help...only we can't do that as a country.

which will it be? Raise taxes or cut entitlements? It has to be one or the other.

Both the candidates are lying their asses off on this issue..

Republicans keep talking shit about taxes, but taxes are like chores: nobody likes to do them, but if you dont do them, pretty soon you're living in a pigstye.

The problem is not paying taxes, the problem is paying taxes and not getting anything for it. Healthcare is a good thing for tax money to be spent on, and benefits everyone. So is education, including college. Corporate welfare is not. War is not.
