shunned

You remember my post "Mock, Paper, Scissors"? I thought it was a decent post, and after Pryme mentioned it in his post at the Daily Kos, I decided maybe it'd be good enough to make it into the Carnival of the Liberals. EHHHH! No such luck. It has now been rejected three times, which is a bit ego bruising. Was it just not that good of an idea or was it badly written? If anyone who read it (or will read it) can give me an opinion, that'd be nice.

they say it never pays to be honest, so i guess this is stupid to do, but i printed this out and read it. the concept is an A+ but this is nowhere near your best writing. if you took the concept and redrafted it in the manner you are quite capable of, you might have a winner.

not that had anything to do with the rejection. frequently that is a political function.

Dave,

I would give a real life example of how it works. With online people (what am I saying? It's pretty much everyone) you have to feed them a little more.

If you give an example of how the Mock, Paper, Scissors has worked, it'll be more than an idea, but an actual theory. Use ESPN's Sport Guy's "Patrick Ewing theory" as a template.

Good luck, and I'll keep pushing it on my end.

Thanks, guys. I thought it was a good idea, but the writing seemed a bit compacted. I've thought from the beginning that it needed a rewrite, but I wasnt sure if the idea meritted it. Now I'm also faced with the simple fact of running out of time (after a couple more weeks, it may still be relevant, but no longer urgent, and I'll have months to work it up).

Now I just need time to breath. And time to write whilst I breath.
