quote for the day

The lesson is that, in nearly every election, fear works. How did Republicans turn so many people against health care reform (see note below) and against Obama? Because they scared them. Republicans can, with a straight face, call Obama and Democrats "socialist" or whatever bugaboo word they want and then say that Democrats are to blame for the lack of bipartisanship. That's some shameless shit there. But it works.

Indeed, I mean Bush was a failing President, had a weak congress and ratings in the 20s and he still pushed legislation through because he was a of the GOP, they just shout out that the Dems are blocking stuff and the Dems roll over.

Now the left is in power, they are not willing to roll over the GOP, who won't anyway and fight till ever last bit of blood has been drained from them.

It makes me so angry and I don't even live there!

@ Daniel:

Don't be fooled; Democrats are (still) in the majority but that doesn't mean that the Left is in power. Al Franken does not = Harry Reid.

As for TRP assessment: I agree and I'll add that not only has the GOP made voters afraid, but they also made the Democrats afraid.
