Really, only someone with kids can probably understand this, and then only if you're a guy, but still I just had to share this, because it's just plain cool.
I think most electronic toys are crap, but kids today got it made, big, plastic toy-wise.
My daughter had one a little like this when she was a tyke. I, on the other hand, had to learn how to ride an adult-sized bike, sans training wheels, by leaning against the side of the house to get on and underway. I finally mastered it when I was 12 and needed to ride to get a paper route.
I guess the toys today are cool, but I can't help thinking that a little more sacrifice on the part of the kids is what made toys like my genertion's so special to me. They allowed a little more creativity and you got to actual play with the toy instead of watching the toy play by itself.
That's why I hate electronic toys. Plus, none of my kids have ever played with any electronic toy for very long. In the end, they go back to dolls, blocks, swingsets, drawing, and books. Thank God.
