well, fed

So, in history books in the future, will the death of the census guy go down as the first casualty of a civil war (or at least an uprising)? Let's call it the Fox Rebellion.

Not if people by the right-wing meme (that was quickly squashed by the guy's son, BTW) that the census taker was a suicidal pedophile.

I'm thinking that right-wingers, despite their armament, would be the losers in a rebellion, and therefore lose any rights at naming it.
Ironically, one of the reasons that they would lose is that street gangs would probably take sides against them, thus becoming the same kind of heroes that bootleggers were at one time.

What's this about?

Lets not get all hasty here, been following this story fairly closely and it's really starting to look like this guy knocked on a door where meth was being cooked on the other side. This is TN, there's no money in moonshine anymore but the mentality lingers. Meth and weed are the new white lightnin' in those parts. Well, all rural parts of all of north america. As well, as deranged and degenerate as the drug addled can be, many are not all that dumb when it comes to covering the tracks of violent acts. All I'm saying is don't underestimate the ability of the common criminal mind to distract using pop culture as a tool.

The thought certainly occurred to me that some clever criminal was using wing-nuttia for a cover. That's why I put it in the form of a question.
Still, while it's not inevitable, it's also not unlikely that this or a similar incident will, at some point, occur. Or, maybe it's all a bunch of chest-beating, branch-waving, hooting and teeth-baring, in the hopes that all this crazy progressive stuff will back off. It even actually seems to be working, because, as apes go, the Democrats are a bunch of pussies.
Either way, Fox, a conglomerate headed up by a wealthy Australian who had to get citizenship in order to create the American branch of his empire, is at the forefront of the rabble-rousing, regardless of whether the roused rabble actually prove to be dangerous, so that point stands.

I will say that if there is no uprising of any kind, there'll have been a lot of wasted angst on both sides.

Of course, ultimately, the purpose for my post was to use the term "Fox Rebellion". It's a meme I would like to see bandied around until it sticks. If it brings down Fox, that would be icing on the cake.

Daniel, here's a link for the story, though it's not a great one.
